Our Story
Over 10 years ago, God provided us with a vision for helping children and families within our community. Through prayer, we have shared this passion with others within our neighborhoods and with our partners.
Salt & Light Community Center is prayerfully working towards this vision to see family relationships restored, freedom from addiction with changed hearts, and healthy habits become a way of life.
In 2025, we purchased a 10,000+ SQFT building in downtown Auburn, Maine to serve as a hub of hope, heart and healing for our beloved neighbors.
Our Mission is to engage and equip neighbors and volunteers to bring Hope, Heart and Healing through the Love of Jesus Christ.
“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

A NEW Home for Hope and Healing
For years, we prayed for a permanent home where we can expand our outreach and provide a safe, welcoming space for those we serve.
And God heard our prayers!
Thanks to so many generous gifts from individuals - just like YOU - we have purchased a 10,000 Sq Ft building to bring HOPE and HEALING to our community for decades to come!
This space will allow us to deepen our impact, create stability for our programs, and continue sharing Christ’s love with those who need it most.
There are hundreds of hurting kids and families right in our own backyard.
Together we can be the Salt and Light for our city!
